Comet Gala

Comet Gala is an annual event hosted by AIGA UTD in collaboration with other creative-oriented organizations, celebrating arts and creativity for all. The event consists of art vendors, musical performances, food, drinks, photo booths, and more, helping to create a stronger art and design community within our university
Design Exchange Award Night

Design Exchange is an event where students present innovative solutions to industry professionals, fostering strategic design thinking and creativity. It offers opportunities for students to connect with industry experts through booths, presentations, and networking.
Design Thinking Workshop
February 15th, 5:30-6:30pm, FO 2.208
At this Design Thinking and Strategic Design Workshop, students will learn how to design products that are more effective and impactful! Airy Liu from Intuit and Brian Smith from Bottle Rocket will give advice about these topics based on their industry experience!
LinkedIn Workshop
November 2nd, 6-7pm, CB3 1.312
LinkedIn workshop, led by professor Mark McKinney, helps students learn how to network and other ways to connect with professionals in their design industry through LinkedIn. The workshop will help students learn how to apply for jobs through this application.
Portfolio Review
October 27th, 7-9pm, ATC 2.602
Portfolio Review connects design industry professionals to one-on-one conversations with students. The professionals will review their portfolios, provide industry knowledge, and insights on how to stand out as an aspiring professional.
